Reflections on an unexpected year from our Managing Director, John Meale
As Christmas fast approaches, following months of unexpected challenges, we would like to offer our very best wishes and on-going support to all Thorworld customers, contractors and suppliers.
Historically, this time of year is the busiest in the logistics calendar, and whilst demands for delivery, storage, and import companies may have altered in a number of ways, the industry’s ability to adapt and provide much needed services to supply the nation continues to be truly impressive.
The Thorworld team has felt privileged to support key workers and frontline organisations over the course of the pandemic to-date, and although Christmas 2020 may be different to previous years, reliance on the country’s hardworking logistics industry will continue to be strong.
In a year that has presented difficult times for many, we would like to reiterate that our commitment to supporting customers with safely installed solutions, designed to improve logistics’ function continues.
We will be open until 2pm on Tuesday 22nd of December, and following the Christmas break, we’ll be back-to-work from 8.30am on Monday 4th of January.
Finally, I’d like to extend my gratitude to the committed Thorworld team, who have stringently worked to government guidelines to keep businesses moving this year. We hope that 2021 brings with it fresh positivity for all, together with new and successful working relationships that will help the industry as a whole to thrive.
