Thorworld Industries is delighted to announce the design and installation of a bespoke modular loading dock to a leading manufacturer group in the Northwest of England.
The Avoca Group is made up of two divisions that provide sewn fleece and textiles to service both the world’s leading battery manufacturers, as well as the global furniture and bedding industry. The group produces a high volume of finished products daily, and they needed support in transporting goods both in and out of their Manchester site.
The Avoca Group has recently increased the volume of containers delivering materials to its factory and they needed a dock solution to keep up with the demand. Loading Bay Service is a trusted sales agent of Thorworld Industries and their Sales Director, Warren Craig, worked with the Avoca Group to scope out their requirements. Thorworld worked in conjunction with Loading Bay Service and Avoca to design a modular loading dock comprising of a loading ramp, platform and dock leveller.
The Avoca Group now has a semi-permanent loading solution which fulfils all the requirements of a dedicated loading bay. This has resulted in more timely discharging of containers, as well as a reduction in labour and health and safety issues on site.
Alan Shenton, Operations Manager at the Avoca Group, commented:
“We needed a solution to deal with a growing number of deliveries as demand for our products increased. Working with Loading Bay Service and Thorworld was incredibly easy and we are happy with the design and finish of our new modular loading scheme.”
Warren Craig, Sales Director at Loading Bay Service, said:
“It was great working alongside Thorworld Industries on another successful project and I am pleased to hear how the product has transformed the Avoca Group’s operations.”
Ian Langan, Technical and Engineering Director at Thorworld Industries said:
“Once again, it was a pleasure working closely with Loading Bay Service in conjunction with another industry-leading firm that needed the support of our product. We are pleased to hear of the impact our bespoke loading dock has already made at the Avoca Group, and we wish them well as their business grows.”
