Dockplates, Boards & Hingeplates

Dockboards, Dockplates or Bridgeplates are low cost ways of providing access to vehicles from a raised loading dock. They are manufactured from high tensile aluminium, which gives maximum strength with minimal weight.

The type of unit to be specified depends on the application and the capacity required.

• Dockplates and Dockboards are effectively a stand alone manual dock leveller, and can be moved around loading bays. Dockplates are for the lower capacities and Dockboards the higher capacities.
• Hinged bridgeplates are hinged on the side of a loading dock, where vehicles always use the same loading dock area. Hingeplates can only be used if a suitable dock edge is available to enable it to be fitted.

Dock plate, dock board and hinged bridge plates available all have a patterned none slip surface incorporated for safety. They also feature either painted side lines or safety side curbs painted red. The units are also crowned to allow them to cater for the height differences for which they are designed. The bevelled edges also provide smoother access to and from the dockboards /dockplates.

For height differences in excess of those covered by individual dockplates / dockboards, ramp combinations can be supplied in the form of Dockplate Ramp Combinations, Dockboard Ramp Combinations or Hinge Bridgeplate Ramp Combinations. A fixed height primary ramp is fitted with the secondary plate / board to cover the extra height variation.
