Thorworld has an extensive range of Dock Seals and Shelters, designed to improve the efficiency of loading docks by either minimising heat gain or heat loss in the warehouse and transportation areas – depending on whether the environment needs to be kept warm or cold.

The control of energy consumption and conservation in the workplace is critical in minimising costs. This can be achieved by not only preventing heat loss when storing goods in cold stores, but also by avoiding fluctuations in temperature in work place areas.  This is where seals and shelters can help.

Dock Seals and Shelters can also reduce weather ingress, improving health and safety, and reducing the risk of product damage.

The type of seal or shelter to be used will depend on the environment you are wanting to create. For example, a cold store would require either an Inflatable Dock Seal or Pad Seal, to provide a more efficient seal to minimise heat loss. If, however, the dock seals are on a building which is not refrigerated a standard Collapsible Dock Shelter is the most ideal solution, reducing energy transfer, whilst also reducing weather ingress.

To provide additional protection in certain situations, our Dock Shelter Curtains and Dock Shelter Aprons work seamlessly alongside our range of dock seals (including Inflatable Seals and Dock Pad Seals).
