Overview
We offer a training course for the use of a range of our products, including our container ramps, platforms and trailer safety supports. The course includes a classroom theory session, short examination and a practical session with the equipment.
Though not a legal requirement, completion of this course is a way for employers to increase the safety of it’s employees when operating such equipment. In the case of any accidents within the workplace, completion of such a training course is also a valuable tool for proving competency of employees.
Training is typically performed on your site, to minimise your travel time and disruption, whilst also ensuring that training is tailored to your specific circumstances. However, we also offer the opportunity to perform some training courses at our facilities. Contact us for further information.
All successful delegates receive a certificate as proof they have completed the course.
Aim: This course is designed to train delegates in the safe and efficient use of a Mobile Yardramp. It introduces them to the ramp in a way that is thorough yet easily understood. It explains the major parts of a ramp and their function. It covers in detail the safe working procedure of a ramp and highlights potential dangers if used incorrectly.
Course duration: Typically around 4 hours
Delegates: Maximum of 10 delegates per course/session
Location: On clients’ site, or one Thorworld premises
