Overview

A client (The London Taxi Company) required a raised loading area to expand and improve their (un)loading facilities. A main requirement was to unload long / tall items quickly and safely from shipping containers.

We provided a scheme that included a 7.2×3.6m loading platform, with Aluminium dockboard, an access ramp and removable handrails to allow items to be unloaded from the side.
The schemes are simply bolted in place and can easily be moved to an alternative location if required in future.

  • Expoxy/grit (Bimagrip) antislip surface to the platforms, and stairs.
  • The ramp has the standard expanded metal decking to maximise traction on the incline.
  • An overall platform size of 7.2×3.6m.
  • A platform height of 1500mm to suit container access.
  • A high tensile aluminium dockboard 2150x610mm.
  • Access steps to allow safe access to the platforms.
  • Removable handrails and D-Section bumpers to one side of the platform.
  • 6000Kg SWL.
  • Flared alignment curbs to ensure correct vehicle position.
  • A pair of bollards either side of the ramp.
