Overview
This customer needed to safely move pallets from their outside yard space, into the raise warehouse via an existing loading dock door.
We designed a platform to fit around existing infrastructure, which was fitted with a pallet gate, ensuring maximum safety.
A pallet is loaded onto the platform from the yard via fork lift truck, then an operative inside the building swings the pallet gate over, allowing access from the inside, at the same time, closing access from the outside. This ensures maximum operator safety, by ensuring access to the pallet from one side at a time, and ensuring a safety rail remains in place against the open edge at all times.
The platform was also fitted with steel bollards positioned to prevent damage to the platform/gate from passing traffic.
