Overview
This customer had an existing loading dock, but the design was not suitable for current operations – the dock was low, had no dedicated means of bridging safely into the vehicle, and was orientated such that it wasn’t optimal from a vehicle movement/positioning perspective.
The solution was a loading platform fitted with an electro-hydraulic dock leveller, set at HGV height. This platform was orientated 90-degrees to the existing loading dock face, with sloped sections allowing smooth transition up to the new loading point.
The ultimate result was significantly improved efficiency and safety.
