From unloading trucks without loading docks, securing a lorry when in use and protecting products and buildings from damage, to enabling safe and smooth access into a building, we are the ‘one-stop shop’ for Loading and Unloading equipment.

Not only do we provide an extensive range of quality products at competitive prices, but we also aim to adapt our range in order to suit individual customer requirements – if you can’t find the size you want, just ask! Our team of site engineers are also on hand to install, and keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

John Meale, the founder, and Managing Director of Thorworld for over 40 years has now stepped into a chairman role for the company; continuing to provide support from his wealth of experience within the company and wider industry. In 2023 John passed on the baton to Directors Mark James, Ian Langan and Brendan Wilson who continue running the business into the future.

We are active members of The Association of Loading and Elevating Equipment Manufacturers (ALEM), and The European Federation of Materials Handling (FEM), placing Thorworld at the centre of European Manufacturing, Innovation and Knowledge. John Meale is a past President of ALEM, BMHF, the FEM Elevating Equipment Product group and the whole of FEM. Mark James is also an Executive Committee member at ALEM.
